Although this state park is relatively small its clean and well maintained. The camp sites are fairly well spaced considering it's a small park. Not as much room as you'd get in most national forest but sufficient.

Small campground (35 acres)- decent size site. We stayed in site #9- you can reserve specific sites at this campground. A little tight to get into with a 30 foot rig but manageable, site was a little out of level but again manageable. Campground was...More

Upon entering the park,, I noticed that it was very clean. Nice view of the water. Appears to be a great park for camping as there were many campers and tents set up.

We gathered three families to camp over the Thanksgiving holiday this year and had an amazing time. The park is small, but if you're into kayaking or looking for a quiet weekend, this is terrific. There is a small nature trail, playground and kayak/canoe launch...More

The sites are not too close to each other. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful it was. On site rangers help keep quiet hours. There were no loud partiers, at least when we were there.

Make sure if you have them drive you upriver that you have enough food and water to keep you for a nice river ride three hours to five hours. They drive you out into the woods, set you up with a canoe, and send you on your... More
