Had an overnight stop in Walterboro, and was recommended to the restaurant at the course for Saturday night prime rib special. Cute clubhouse, too dark to see course. Great meal. Really rare prime rib which can be hard to find. My dinner companion had very nice crab bisque and very generous portion of shrimp on ceasar salad. All in all,... More

So do you want the truth about this course? Take a look at these two random pics taken on hole number 3 green. It tells the story. First of all the man running the course. I think his name is John. To my understanding from asking several local players on the day we went out that this guy has ZERO... More

My understanding is the 9 hole course is trying to come back from previous ownership. Also, I understand they rebuilt the greens about a half year ago.... More

That is a very specific word for muddy. The sides of the fairways are next to a marsh and can... More

Was just informed that the current people who were going to run the place somehow had a dispute with Colleton County....Not sure about the details....so, the restaurant won't be opening.....No explanation at this point.

Just to let people know it has closed for quite a while, but is now in the process of being reopened in August of 2015. The restaurant is also in the process of of being lease and should open again soon.

This course is now managed by Paramount Golf Partners and the new staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dogwood Hills Golf Club (DHGC) is a semi-private golf course with reasonable rates for public play. The layout is fun and memorable. This may be the best 9-hole course in the "Lowcountry". You’ll be hard pressed to find another course in the... More
