People were vey nice, food was plentiful, but fair at best (buffet style). The entertainment was good, the performers were very talented . The extras were expensive and nothing special - pony rides, shoot a gun.

Activities for the kids before the show were good--pony ride, roping, panning for gold, a fake shootout for a biscuit-stealing outlaw. Clean facility, food was tasty (and much better than expected), music was great, relaxed environment. Very well run, with one small criticism--no bathroom facilities, just port-a-potties and wash basins. That's really taking the frontier experience a little too far...... More

Had a decent time here. Food was good but certainly not cheap. All the activities were pay as you go, so the cost added up quickly. Better suited for kids < 10 years old. The authenticity was weak at times. The lady behind the registration counter was crabby when I purchased a beer... lighten up honey!

We felt this chuck wagon experience was a big disappointment. We have been to other chuck wagon dinners, and this did not compare well at all. Did not feel very authentic-appears to be more commercialized. The "shoot out" was a joke. Getting the biscuit bandit??? Really???? Having small kids chase the bandit and then getting shot at was really in... More

The Circle B Chuckwagon exceeded our expectations. Something was wrong with the pony the day we went and our children got to ride a horse instead! The children had a lot of fun playing in the pretend jail cells, and enjoyed the gun fight show. We were blown away by the food, it was so delicious. The entertainment was fabulous.... More

The folks at Circle B are top notch in welcoming hospitality and kindness! Would rate 5 for the folks, but not so high for the overall experience. They are gifted musicians, too, though their jokes are roll your eyes gag corny, but they admit it. Not sure why they can't get a bit more creative and add some genuine humor... More

I could tell that the musicians are very talented, but the sound system made them sound quite "buzzy" and I found it quite distracting (I heard another person asking about it also). The food was okay (meat was dry despite the sauces on top). We missed the preshow festivities, but our teens probably would not have enjoyed it. The setting... More

Don't be upset if you miss this particular chuckwagon. It's just average. The ranch is found in a beautiful area of Hill City, SD. There is NO cellphone service even with the best providers so be prepared for that and they do not have Wi-Fi. You can't touch the horses unless you are going on a trail ride so if... More

This is the quintessential tourist chuck wagon-style dinner and entertainment. Lots of starch and protein food -- beans, biscuits, baked potato, beef, chicken, and bison, in generous portions, but no salad. Everybody eats at picnic-style tables perpendicular to the main aisle, so half of the people have their backs to the stage. The entertainment is the usual tourist chuck wagon... More

This is a good time for young and old alike. Make sure to come early as they put on a show b/4 dinner, and the kids loved it! The food is good! The music is good! And the jokes are bad...JK.
