Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesa handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.

We loved our brief visit to the winery although we probably should have left our teenage son at the hotel. My wife and I chose 5 wines, learned how they were made, tasted them and walked out 30 minutes later with a bottle of Frontenac...More

This place was a quiet and fun place to take friends and family. Adequate wines (Red A$$ wine was too sweet for my taste) but they have some nice chardonnays! Friendly staff!! Recommend!!

The tasting room is larger and more commercial than I generally prefer and the wines were good, not great. So why the 5*? Wine slushies. When it's 95 degrees and you've been in the car for a week with the family, a wine slush is...More

This winery is close to Mt. Rushmore, take some time to go check it out. You are allowed to taste five different wines. Really good wine. Delightful place with lovely staff to help you. Lots to choose from.

Great question! We allow dogs to join well-behaved owners on either of our patios, but due to health codes, we do not allow pets inside the building.
