You don't find this kind of passion at your local bike shop. Ed and Joey Bonds obsess over the Black Hills' hall of fame 109 mile Mickelson Rails-to-Trail. Rabbit Bike services come with a little extra to make your journey on the Mickelson as painless as possible. We began inquiring about the Mickelson ride about a month before finalizing a... More

My wife and I made a 25-mile ride on the Mickelson trail in the Black Hills on July 21. We worked with Rabbit Bike Rentals, which provided the rental bicycles, transportation up to Rochford, SD, and expert advice. It was a great experience for both of us. We stopped at the shop the previous afternoon to get properly fitted for... More

We outfitted 13 scouts and 6 adults for a day ride (50 miler) up the Mickelson trail. Their service was impeccable, the gear options were excellent and the prices were very fair. I would use them again and was sorry we didn't have another day to go up the trail.

Customer Service was excellent. Very knowledgeable and expedient with service. We were biking the Mickelson Trail from Edgemont and my gears were very hard to shift. We stopped in at Rabbit Bike late afternoon and the problem was my cable and housing which the owner determined quickly. He had my bike repaired early the next AM so we could continue... More

Can't begin to say how amazing these folks are. I am not from around, and they helped me decide which route would be the most scenic, and pointed out extra spots to look out for along the way. I took the shuttle with Andy to Mystic, and thoroughly enjoyed my ride back. I was well prepared for the trip with... More

While on vacation in SD I blew out both tires, late in my first stop at the Badlands, due to thorns. Rabbit knew exactly what the problem was just from hearing my description. Sure enough I had a ton of them. He took me right in and had me riding again within 30 minutes. THIS PLACE & RABBIT ROCKS! THANK... More

My wife and I were visiting South Dakota from Tennessee and scheduled a bike rental and shuttle service with Rabbit Bike rental in Hill City, South Dakota so that we could ride the Michelson Bike Trail. We were originally scheduled to ride Sunday morning at 9:00 with 2 other bikers. We had wanted to go on an early shuttle because... More

Rabbit Bike Rental was awesome- friendly owners worked with us to define the best bike trail for our family- 2 experienced riders plus 2 out of shape inexperienced riders. Great ride and great experience- highly recommend this company!

We wanted to ride the Mickelson Trail but weren't sure how best to do it as we were flying from San Francisco to Denver and would therefore need bikes, shuttling etc. Joey suggested we did the trail in three days, which turned out to be perfect. Each day she shuttled us at the beginning and end of the day. We... More

We took the package deal. Nice accommodations with view of lots of deer, very good bikes, shuttle to and from the Mikleson Bike Trail. We opted to do the trail in 3 days. Joey matched our itinerary with our level of riding. It was THE BEST bike experience ever. Bike shops sells anything you might need for the ride. Great... More
