This is a great way to get steps while visiting Lemmon. The park emphasizes petrified wood sculptures but has several primary segments and other mineralized objects. There is a museum and restroom on site.

On a tip we decided to divert thru Lemmon, SD between visits to the Black Hills and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. What we found was an entire park, museum and shop built out of petrified wood!

There are pieces of petrified wood avalible in the gift shop, but a local would be able to tell you where some can be found.
