Always wanted to visit this place, now I have, all the pictures you see of it, you think it is out in a huge area, but is actually crowded in a place downtown with tourist shops right across the street, still a very unique place,...More

OK, so they cover the building with corn, a different pattern every year, but that's about it. There is some history about the building inside, but really this is just a picture stop and move on.

I expected more. I got disappointed. Their “best attraction” is a live camera on front of the balcony where you can see your self with a delay of 15 sec. The other thing besides that is reading sign and their History (which I love history,...More

This is the second time my husband and I were here, and we returned a few years later with friends. It must be seen to be believed! The huge panels of corn art at the front, sides and interior are truly a sight to behold....More

Yep, another tourist attraction, like Wall Drug, that you just have to go and see. On the plus side the Corn Palace changes the theme and pictures made out of corn every year. While it doesn't have the natural beauty of the Black Hills it...More

We drove in from Pa and had been looking at corn for DAYS. This was a fantastic way to celebrate all the crops we had been admiring, in a way we could never imagine. Had a total blast here with my parents. I had no...More

We had to stop here on our cross-country road trip. What a unique place. It is a multi-purpose arena/facility with murals made out of cobs of corn! Interesting.

Don’t get me wrong. It may be a great place for you, but it was a building that was walked through in 10 minutes. Driving by you will see the most interesting design.

The last of the once many grain palaces that dotted the prairie as the west was settled and towns and cities vied for a symbol that they had arrived. The Mitchell Corn Palace endures because of how well it was built and how sturdy the...More

The corn Palace is a fun place to stop, when you are staying overnight in Mitchell. You can go inside and see pictures of all the different designs throughout the years.

I would say 30 minutes to an hour checking out the actual corn murals and reading the history, short movie. If you want to spend time in the shops, definitely add more time.
