The history timeline is great. Walk around the outside of building then go inside. Walk to left and then start reading the history. Go into auditorium then around to right to finish timeline. Move to second floor for more. Went to American Legion after for an outstanding hot roast beef

This is pretty cool. On this particular night it was the opening of a three night run of the Shriner 's Circus. The outside is pretty amazing and it is changed every couple of years. The present theme is 'Rock of Ages'. Inside was very interesting and educational. The lobby walls are lined with panels explaining the history of the... More

The most interesting bits are on the outside of the building. The history of the palace is inside along the hallways. During tourist season, there are a plethora of vendors inside selling touristy type gadgetry of various sorts. Each stall, selling nearly the same items. All of the overpriced knick-knacks designed to deplete you of your cash. If you manage... More

This is very unique to visit! There are murals on the outside of the building made from many different varieties of corn and grasses. Then inside you can see over 100 years of murals while learning the history of the Corn a Palace!

The exterior is pretty amazing for remote SD. The history display inside is interesting. It is mostly an arena stage venue.

My husband tried to get me to stop her more than 15 years ago so I couldn't say "no" this time through. It is only open Mon-Sat. I didn't do any research and assumed it was a museum. It is an arena. They were set up for a bingo game when we stopped by. There are murals outside on the... More

We went on the recommendation of many people but not knowing what to expect we thought maybe it would be fun for he kids. The history was interesting to the adults. It the children only liked running around the gym, the stage and the empty bleachers. It was a snowy day and I think we were the first people there... More

The outside decorations are interesting. It was the off season when we visited, so it was serving as the high school gym and the summer displays were not yet set up.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime adventure...something like you're probably never seen before! So, I think it's worth a quick trip to check it out. No, it's not a huge museum or anything, but kind of fun to do once. We were there less than an hour and back on the road.

I haven't visited the corn palace in over 30 years and was somewhat underwhelmed. The exterior is fun to look at and there is a bit to see in the inside of the museum, however there isn't any staff to help explain what to see/do nor to even greet you at the entrance. After wondering for a but we finally... More
