Stopped here because everyone does. It was a nice place to stop and stretch your legs. If it wasn't free I wouldn't recommend it. The outside is the best part. Inside is a basketball arena with corn murals on the walls. The entire basketball court...More

It's cool and worth an hour if you are in this part of South Dakota. Pictures on the outside of building are made with ears of corn split lengthwise. Free admission.

Not what I expected. I thought somehow it was made of corn but it is only the facade that is covered in corn. Something to see to stretch your legs and it's free. Parking nearby is also free.

Corn Palace is a must see just because it is unique. It is free to see and photograph from the street, and easy to get to.. It only takes a couple minutes to drive off the freeway and get to it. They change their themes...More

Maybe being here during the corn festival would be worth it but otherwise feel free to keep driving on I90.

Had a good time. Much better than I thought we would. It's free and has a really cute gift shop. The movie and tour were short but well worth it. Made an impression.

Had to see the famous corn palace. Very cool exterior. Would have liked to see more interactive things. Street in front under construction. Hard to take pictures with all the construction. Gift shop across from palace opens up one hour later than the palace.

Unscheduled stop as we had heard about it from friends. Not sure what all the hipe is over this. I was expecting to see art/items made out of corn husks, but not so. The front facade is beautifully made from husks. Glad it was free.

The outside is where the corn murals are built. The building looks like it has had an extensive makeover since the last time I was there in 2001. My kids liked the front and the tractor in the lobby. Other than that, it is your...More

Not really, basically you spend 15 minutes or so admitting the art it takes to create the murals from corn products and your done!
We are planning a break on our trip to Rapid City and we are pulling a large fifth wheel. What are the parking possibilities for this?

They have a parking lot close to the corn palace. We were in a motor home pulling a enclosed trailer with 3 motorcycles.
