This is a beautiful church in a lovely setting that has a great deal of history of why and how it was built. It is still used and I would suggest you have a docent guide to tell you all about it.

First we went to visit and loved the Chapel, so beautifully built. Make sure you press the green button to learn more. We were told that there would be a Memorial service later so we returned. A thoughtful way to spend part of Memorial Day

We have visited Stave Kirk Chapel several times over the years and it never ceases to amaze me the construction techniques used here. Great for the "builder" in your family.

There are ramped sidewalks leading to and into the chapel, gift shop, and museum. The slopes are rather steep in some places, due to the nature of the terrain. To access the restrooms, there is one step up.
