This is an excellent museum. Rather large for a local museum, it has a well curated collection covering ranching, mining and prairie life. It also has nice facilities for events, dinners, etc.

We visited at the beginning of January & were treated by a friendly lady & a gentleman who was the "Friday volunteer". He was incredibly pleasant & gave us a tour of the museum passing on information which wasn't on the information boards. Very personal...More

This is not just another western museum. I was fortunate to have a tour of the museum with a guide. He was knowledgable and presented a history of the area that was amazing. This is a must see if you are in the area.More

Quite a bit of information on the local ranchers and pioneers of this area. However staff was not much help when we were there as they had an upcoming special event they were working on.More

This museum has everything you need to know about cowboys - what they wore and rode, etc. Also a lot on rodeos. My favorite area was the old wagons: chuckwagon, sheep wagon, stagecoach, hearse, etc. all authentic old West.More
