D.C. Booth Hatchery is a fun place to visit, having a below-ground window view into the large fish pond, and food available to feed ducks and fish. Also, there are historic train cars that used to haul baby fish across the country for stocking; a...More

Very beautiful. Fun to see HUGE trout. Well cared for buildings and grounds. The only reason I knocked it down a notch is because the buildings and gift shop were closed. But to cut them some slack, it was before Memorial Day.

We recently went to this fish hatchery even though we knew the exhibits were closed. To see all of the trout, from little guys to fully grown ones was really quite amazing. There are story boards throughout the grounds that gave us more than enough...More

I enjoyed seeing the fish, especially when they were jumping out of the water to beat the others to food being tossed in. The second pool was full of enormous fish and they could be seen from the below-ground window. Unfortunately, at the end of...More

Tour by foot at your leisure while absorbing history of the hatchery as it was in its heyday. Still an inviting and restful location.

We stopped by in the morning during the middle of the week. It was very quiet and not a lot of people were around. It was the off season, so all the buildings were closed, but we got nice views of the fish and the...More

I agree with one to two hours, depending on interest level. If you feed the fish, pop inside a couple of buildings, read posted signs, and walk an outer nature trail or two, you could do it in an hour with a couple teens, or... More
