Beautiful scenery with turquoise water, white sands and mountains and rock formations. Definitely a must see.

Beautiful beach with lovely white sand. Quite a touristy spot so one of the busier beaches in the Isle of Lewis. Also has a stone house you can visit too. We did a bike ride from the community centre on great Bernera which was doable to the beach however be aware there are some steep hills! You need to be fit to bike it or be like us and push your bike up the big hills!

Beautiful sand and cove. The colors are amazing. Look for the time and tide bell. Also make sure and tour the Iron Age house - very well presented and worth the trip

Beautiful, unspoilt beach. White sand and a greeny blue sea. Views are great and the beach doesn't get crowded

We travelled to Bostadh to see the Iron Age House, so this superb beach was a bonus. Well worth the drive to get to it at the northern tip of Great Bernera.

My husband surprised me with a trip to Bernera and managed to find this stunning secluded beach with white sands and turquoise sea. on our own at the edge of the world and it was wonderful. The hairy coos in the car park were a bonus.

Another beach of absolute wonder
An essential to life itself
Stunning and beautiful
Broad expanses of sand and if the tide is out a long walk to the sea.
A MUST VISIT

This is such a gorgeous place, I actually preferred this to luskertyre beach. The sand was so soft and the water was so clear and it was in a sheltered little bay.
There is toilets available and free parking but by midday the carpark was overflowing, so best to get here early or later in the day.
I definitely would return here again!

It is a beautiful little beach. Parking available. Must visit if you are in Lewis. Blue water and quiet little place to swim or just relax.
We also saw the Iron Age house. It’s closed but worth a visit.

Before going, i had seen some pictures but in real life this beach is even more stunning. There were a few people in the water, sunbathing, enjoying themselves and it was a very nice relaxing atmosphere. Hard to believe this is Scotland as well. I could have easily spend all day here and did not even bother looking for the iron age house as I did not want to leave the beach. Before you get to the beach there is a Commonwealth cemetery as well. Free but limited parking and public toilets.
