Creative Discovery Museum is a hands-on children's museum in the heart of downtown Chattanooga that inspires all children to explore, innovate, create, and play. Our exhibits are designed to both entertain and educate as children discover the world around them and all it has to offer including art, music, dinosaur digging, water exploration, and science. Rated the #7 children's museum in the U.S. by Trekaroo in 2015.

We just finished visiting the Creative Discovery Museum with our grandchildren. This place offers lots of hands on activities. My grandson (age 3) loved the water table and spent an hour floating boats through the various levels. He loved the archeological dig, playing in the...More

I would highly recommend this place to anyone with children going to visit Chattanooga. It was inexpensive and my granddaughter had so much fun. I have to admit, I had a good time too.

This is a nice little museum but it is mainly for young children about 10 and under. There are lots of things to do and see with tons of hands on activities. If you have little ones you could occupy them for hours in here.

The place is for kids, of course. The temporary Hungry Caterpillar exhibit upstairs made this clear. But there were some exhibits that were fun for Dads, such as a demonstration on how locks and dams work with steel pipes and valves and flowing water.

Our youngest spent a lot of time confined (lookout mountain/ruby falls) for his safety on our adventures and he was thrilled to be LET LOOSE in this fun museum. Great for kids from walking age to 10.

Fantastic place for families!! We went on the 4th of July and they had the best celebration activities! We could've spent all day there. My kids loved it. I wish we had one in our area! Don't skip this spot on your trip to Chattanooga!

The parking lot is quite large right behind the museum. I think you could park an RV there.

My wife and I feel they would love it. But, it would be optimal if 2 adults or a buddy for the 8 year old could go. The exhibits, in our opinion, tried to stage for each age and had some for all ages. Your 15 month old... More

Honestly, there are a few areas that a one year old would enjoy, like the sand and water, but I don't know that it would be worth it that young. The sand would just be like any other sand box since the "dig" wouldn't really... More
