This is a wonderful place to spend a nice afternoon strolling through the park, visiting antique stores, and just people watching. There is a beautiful carousel with seats along the way to watch those riding. We were very impressed with the beauty, the cleanliness, and the friendly people there.

Took a stroll over Walnut Street Bridge and ended up at Coolidge Park. Fun in the summer when they turn on the water and fun when the carousel is open.

Hand carved wooden animals on a refurbished antique carousel are a must see and ride for anyone who visits Chattanooga. Free electric buses will take you across the river from many places in downtown. Buses are frequent and allow you to park and enjoy the city.

None of the fountains were on. There was little to do besides seeing the fountains. The river view was great.

This is a place we like to go often During the warm months of the year. It is a great place to enjoy a picnic, ride a merry-Go-Round, let the kids splash in the fountains, and walk the Walnut street bridge or grab a bite to eat near by.

This park has parking which can be difficult in the downtown of Chattanooga but it is so worth the stop. Check out the walking trails and the cool water fountains which are fun for the kiddies There is a carousel for extra interest that can be accessed. Enjoy the riverfront view and Walkder Street walking bridge with all the exciting... More

This park was my first taste of Chattanooga and a good deal why I fell in love with this city. It's a beautiful place right on the lake. If you visit in the summer you see dozens of people resting in the grass. It's a great place for families or solo people watchers. There are dozens of cute shops and... More

My husband and I went over the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge in order to see this park with its 100 year old carousel. You could enjoy a walk, if you hadn't just walked downtown and then across the bridge...The carousel is interesting and there was a nice fountain.

Coolidge Park on the North shore of Chattanooga, TN is a great place to relive your childhood on a 122 year old carousel, have a picnic with friends, or just take a leisure stroll amongst the beautiful well cultured grounds. Whatever is your pleasure, I am sure you will find it a relaxing time at Coolidge Park.

Kudos to Chattanooga for this beautiful park! Long stretches of grass along the riverbank cry out for spreading a blanket and spending a few hours! The carousel and fountain are both beautiful, lots of benches, clean and well-maintained. Beautiful way to spent some time soaking in the atmosphere of the city.
