McKay's used books has been a staple of our community for as long as i can remember. I have never seen a bookstore this large. Pictures don't do it justice. They have a streamlined process for trading in old stuff, but it is better to do your trading during the week as the weekends can get very busy here. They have so much more than books here: DVDs, CDs, comic books, video games, consoles, vintage consoles, video game accessories, just to name a few. Plan on spending multiple hours and dollars here. Don't forget to bring a valid driver's license if you are trading in. Happy Shopping!

McKay’s is legendary in Tennessee. I stop in the Knoxville McKay’s location every time I’m in the city, without fail. So when I was staying outside Chattanooga and learned there was a branch of McKay’s close by, I knew I had to check it out. If you’ve never been to McKay’s you’re missing out – they have something for everyone. I love looking through the used CDs and although they tend to be on the over-priced side, you never know when you’re going to find a hidden gem. That applies for all of McKay’s books, DVDs, toys, and games. If you go, plan on spending at least an hour to browse and explore. Check out McKay’s in Chattanooga, you won’t regret stopping by.

I just happened to find this because I Googled to find bookstores for when we were going to be in town on a trip. It was well worth it to check it out. We bought way too much stuff. They have a HUGE selection and great prices.

Word was out as a must stop if in the area!! This store a gold mine for used books, takes awhile to find them, layout is great but so many books, prices are great, also have vinyl, Cds , comics and graphic novels..be prepared to spend some time here. Think major drawback is you are on your own to find things. Glad we stopped and was able to get books I had been looking for at home. Well worth a visit if you like books at reasonable prices.
