Beautiful old furniture and actual possessions of the president; with outstanding/knowledgeable guides. He was quite a president, achieved much, but sadly little known these days.

A must do if you are ever in the area. An incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, plus a rare look at this influential one term president make for an enjoyable hour or so.

Went to this on our cross country roadtrip, run by the sweetest family. The head curator probably knows more about James K Polk than pretty much anybody else

The house was good to see and the guide was informative. I don't remember the price but it seemed a little high for what was available but we were still happy that we stopped.
