This is a great lake with fantastic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. It is a big lake and can support almost any water toy you have. The many protected coves are great for swimming or just taking a rest. Our young grandkids absolutely love...More

This lake is gorgeous, and the water is great, you would think it would be cold coming off the mountains, but it feels great and is very clean. The scenery is breathtaking.

Drove around Douglas lake during a recent trip, absolutely beautiful. The old part of town is charming with old shops and quiet streets.

To say this lake is big is an understatement. It is huge! Very clean. We went mid week so it was not busy. We fished a little then swam. I look forward to going back.

The lake is quite beautiful, and has many scenic views. The beach is by the campground. The beach is well marked with good restrooms, water fountains and a rinse off area. The beach itself is quite small, and there is a good sized drop off...More

Lake was down in October and boating was limited. Heard others say everything goes in spring through fall.

I have not been there in April to know. I would contact the Tennessee Valley Authority and they should be able to answer your questions. Have a good trip
