Located just a straight shot south from downtown Nashville, quaint downtown Franklin is the perfect sleepy Southern town. Visitors can easily spend a day browsing antique shops and boutiques and dining at one of its many ecelctic restaurants. Downtown Franklin offers an eclectic mix of antique shops, gift and book stores, art galleries and clothing boutiques. Franklin hosts several festivals each year.

Make sure downtown Franklin is on your list when you visit Middle Tennessee. There is a reason it has received so many awards for its downtown. From the look, feel, to the great restaurants, shops, historical sites, and the Franklin Theatre...there is plenty to do.

We went at night to see the square lit up before supper but you can tell the downtown area has a lot of charm and interesting shops. We got coffee at the Frothy Monkey which was great. Look forward to coming back to visit.

Not always but if they have a band playing and you want to make sure you see the band, it will help. The band normally doesn't play until 8pm so if you're eating before 7pm, you'll probably be able to walk right in.
