This is where the battlefield was observed. This is just a park, no cost and no tours. As you pull into the park there are the historical interests points are to the left (uphill). The walking route on the right is a enjoyable walking area but it has no signs or historical information on the route.

There are multiple places people interested in the Civil War should visit in the Franklin area, Confederate Memorial Park is one of them and Winstead Hill Park is excellent.

This memorial was done very respectful and very peaceful. It is amazing that this terrible war is still being fought in the US.

This is a really nice park, and a great place to walk around. Please be reverent as you think about the events of the Battle of Franklin. So glad there is a place to memorialize the Confederates.

You will see what the soldiers saw as they topped the hill on November 30, 1864. A bit has changed but the view is amazing and great to see!

There are a series of levels in this park. As you climb, you see more monuments and get to see more of the area around you. There are beautiful views of the countryside.

Along with the history here it has a great walking path for all to use. The view from the top of the hill is wonderful and you get to see first had what the Civil war soldiers were seeing just before they went to Battle at Franklin.

We bought the CD of the entire tour of the battle of Franklin at the Lotz house and followed the battle throughout Franklin. This was Stop 2

Easy to access, quick self-guided starting point for a visual of where the Battle of Franklin action took place. Then go through Carnton, Confederate Cemetary, Carter House, and Lotz House tours--excellent guides and very informative. All doable in same day.

This restful park and walk trail is located right next to the Winstead Hill Park so you can use the parking lot and take in both sites. Great informative signage for both Memorial Park and Winstead Hill park. Do stop here on your trip if only for the view of the town below.
