This sight is one that helps you understand where the Confederates stood on the battle of Franklin. You need to visit this after Carter house.

The United States, including the old Confederate States, is far better off now without slavery - but one of the tragedies of war is that these brave men are still stigmatized and subjected to dishonor because of it. May their souls rest in peace, unaware...More

This is where the battlefield was observed. This is just a park, no cost and no tours. As you pull into the park there are the historical interests points are to the left (uphill). The walking route on the right is a enjoyable walking area...More

There are multiple places people interested in the Civil War should visit in the Franklin area, Confederate Memorial Park is one of them and Winstead Hill Park is excellent.

This memorial was done very respectful and very peaceful. It is amazing that this terrible war is still being fought in the US.

This is a really nice park, and a great place to walk around. Please be reverent as you think about the events of the Battle of Franklin. So glad there is a place to memorialize the Confederates.

You will see what the soldiers saw as they topped the hill on November 30, 1864. A bit has changed but the view is amazing and great to see!

There are a series of levels in this park. As you climb, you see more monuments and get to see more of the area around you. There are beautiful views of the countryside.
