The statue is worth the visit. If you seek to add a photo to your " Great African Americans" collection. Park is very small, but clean.

There wasn't much to see or do, so we just drove past and went to another park. I don't think there was a lot of parking either. It looked more like a park for those that live in the area to walk to than a...More

Park was just a pocket park so time allotted to go see the park was too long; takes about 10 minutes to see statue and read inscription.

My children and I just happened to drive by and find this gem of a park! The playground is suitable for young children especially in spring when it is not too hot. There are walking paths, people jogging, biking, and the view is beautiful!

There is not much else to this area except for a very nice park area with a playground and the Alex Haley statue. The statue is impressive and has a great amount of detail. It is definitely worth the drive to snap a couple of...More
