Great drink menu. Excellent service. Neat atmosphere. Right in the heart of Knoxville. Enjoyed a cozy evening with friends trying new drinks with good suggestions from server and bartender. We went on a Monday evening around 8. It was not very crowded but was starting to get busier when we left around 9:30.

Also recommended by folks on the plane. Easy to find, despite its hidden status and it was pretty busy inside. I was a bit disappointed atmosphere wise- too bright and loud. They need to darken the ceiling and get rid of the pop music. It doesn't fit at all with the style of the place. They have an extensive drink... More

You open an unmarked sliding door in the Oliver Hotel, or look for the red light above an unmarked door down a back alley, and you are in the Peter Kern "Library". It is small and cozy, drinks are well made and pricy. A great place to have drink before or after dinner. It can get crowded especially on weekends,... More

Enjoyed an evening in Market Square that ended at the Library. Took work colleagues from Alabama for a drink to end our evening. Service was excellent and you can't beat the atmosphere. Nice place to have conversation and relax with friends. Drinks were delicious and there is a full bar.

I thought they had a good selection of alcohol. The location seems cool if you enter through the ally way. I'd definitely go back there.

This is a classic speakeasy. You enter through the alley, through the door under the red light. You go down a non-descriptive hall, then pick the first door on your left and you are transported into the 1920's. This is a mixology type of a place, you must try one of their special drinks, which you pick from a list... More

Nice speakeasy themed bar. All the cocktails are named after famous literary characters, which is a nice touch. Lots of comfortable seating because the bouncer limits how many people come in so it does not get overcrowded.

I was with friends and wanted to show them the speakeasy. I guess I slid the door open to fast. It was an accident. This nasty bartender was immediately in my face being very rude and said we could not come in like that. I apologized, but he was really nasty and wouldn't even let us come in. Very rude... More

Hi Julia, Good afternoon. I'm so very sorry to hear this happened to you! Please accept our deepest of apologies! This by no means reflects the way we treat our guests and this is absolutely inexcusable and appalling! We strive for guests in our establishment to have an amazing, memorable experience every time they join us! We feel devastated that... More

This speak easy pub is right out of the 40's with a classic feel of comfy chairs and well thought out classic and new age drinks. The side entrance makes one feel like they are entering a secret pub to enjoy a drink during the Prohibition movement. The trained mixologist greets you like a long standing member and friend and...
