The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture is a general museum with collections in anthropology, archaeology, decorative arts, local history, and natural history. We are a free museum with free parking available. During Summer 2017, parking is available in the C8 lot next to the museum. Simply ask for your free 2-hour parking pass at the parking kiosk. The kids and I enjoyed the variety. Experiencing everything from ancient Egypt to the Tennessee valley The staff was super friendly as well.

We go often and take Grandkids . It is a great ,interesting and educational place . We go during cold and or rainy weather , for a laid back Saturday or Sunday.

you can't help but enjoy this museum.. the folks are great and the displays are always changing. The history of the area is often the center of interest. Folks that work there are warm, kind and friendly.

About 90 minutes to two hours would be a good length of time. Be sure to ask the parking attendant for a free tour hour pass.
