We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the well laid out zoo. The soft serve ice cream and funnel cake was very good. However the big downfall is the limited animals. We didn't see lions, tigers, elephants. The bears and rhinos are only available in the Summer.

Our granddaughters were on spring bread so we decided to visit them in Tennessee and do some fun things while we were there. We love zoos and aquariums and our grandkids have inherited that trait. What a wonderful day! Lots of animals in natural settings. The keepers and staff were very friendly and helpful. The girls rode the camel and... More

Thank you so much Webblove0! We prepare for Dollar Days each year knowing it's going to be a little bit crazy, but so worth it. We love seeing so many people out supporting our zoo and our animals. So glad you and your family enjoyed yourselves! Sincerely, Chelsea Rinn More

A fun place to visit. I love watching all the Animals. A good day trip. They have a talking bird that knows most any word; they always have it on the local news. I love seeing all the Animals and their babies. I will miss the Silverback Gorilla; He was one of my favorites. He was there a very long... More

We are so fortunate to have this great zoo in our city. Huge diversity of animal species. Easy to navigate with plenty of shaded walkways on hot days. Several spots for food, treats and drinks. In Summer, go in the morning or late afternoon when animals are most active. All the animal exhibits indoor and out are well laid out... More

Our family loves visiting Zoo Knoxville. It's big enough and has enough attractions, but it's not so overwhelming or crowded that you feel like you don't get to see everything. It has a great splash pad area for kids, and also a whole separate area for kids with a playground, petting zoo, and sandbox. I'm an educator, and with a... More

Just went today and had a lovely time. Nice and friendly staff. Got to pet the goats! Can't wait for the new and improved tiger exhibit to open this year. We even got to donate to an animal cause of our choice. I really genuinely enjoyed my time here. It is definitely a place anyone should check out. Best parts... More

Dear Steph, Thanks for visiting Zoo Knoxville! You are absolutely right, we do have some construction going on, and lots of projects in the works that will make our zoo experience even more exciting! Until Tiger Forest is complete that upper (shorter) pathway that connects to otters will be blocked off, we do apologize for the inconvenience. But we are... More
