Beautiful park friendly ranger would highly recommend staying if in eastern Tennessee. Close to the tourist traps but far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness of the Smokeys.

East Tennessee beauty. A variety of walking trails to fit everybody's ability. For those who are too lazy to walk there are a variety of overlook opportunities that you can drive to. I do wish that TVA would explore public access to more areas as was common prior to 9-11.

I visit Norris Dam once or twice a year sometimes, and while it is your standard state park, it's a beautiful place. It is much bigger than nearby Big Ridge State Park without the 'grandeur' of the Smokeys, but that's what makes it special. That makes it hiding in plain sight and less crowded than the smokeys. I love all... More

Brought my Mom,Dad,2 grown daughters, and 1 of my daughters boyfriends here for a weekend, loved it! I was here to run the Norris Dam Hard Trail Race and my whole family was able to make the trip with me, we had an amazing time. The cabin was a pretty nice size and very clean. This campgrounds is one of our top 10 favorites to camp at because of the accommodations. I am a disabled vet and the handicapped spots are spectacular and it is so easy to set up our travel trailer. We are going back in November to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Nice little park for camping. Good hiking trails. Good sized lake /river for fishing. Not much area to get down to the lake from trails without repelling ropes ( very steep)

Only a few minutes from where we are camping in Clinton and made for the perfect after lunch walk. I love photography and this site did not disappoint. Beautiful views, lovely breeze and crystal blue water. Take you time and explore the various scenic overlooks to see the Dam and Marina from multiple views.

With the Norris Dam just celebrating 80 years there is much history here. There is also a tea room, picnic shelters and cabins. There is a museum, grist mill and the song bird trail that one time around is 2 miles. Going past the dam on the right you will see a marina. There is camping and a wonderful swimming... More
