visitor centre, very well done, good visuals on the history of early maritime communications carried out at this signal station to protect lives at sea. Perched high above the Atlantic , there are spectacular views. I crossed the bridge to the island which housed the...More

The park here boasts an amazing footbridge across a chasm which affords beautiful photo-ops. The Visitor Centre is small but very informative and you'll learn about Marconi's efforts to send a signal across the ocean from this point. The drive down to Mizen Head is...More

Mizen Head is amazing, and the visitor center is good, informative. Loved speaking with the staff that work there, they provided us with so much history and information. The center is clean, there is a small gift shop, toilets and a small cafeteria.

Mizen Head is so much more exciting than Land's End in Cornwall! The geology is spectacular, the cliffs and rock formations diabolical, the tragic history of lives lost on spectacular wrecks well-documented. In addition there is a wealth of knowledge about Fastnet Rock and Lighthouse...More
