We stopped off at Wells House for a walk around the gardens & a little lunch on a cool December day & we were delighted to see Christmas had arrived at the great house. There was lots of Christmas spirit & Santa was arriving each afternoon for the little ones. The cafe/coffee shop was in full swing with plenty of... More

rip off parking price & house in a very poor condition internally; only groundfloor available for visiting; leaves so much to be desired. They are putting so much money into the grounds when the interior of the fine house is crying out for attention & repair. So disappointing to see a fine residence in poor repair internally. Grounds however are... More

We have been to Wells House a couple of times. Nice spin via Gorey and lovely country roads. Could be better signposted as it's easy to miss the entrance. Nice long driveway up to the house. We did a tour of the house but, as it's a private residence, we only got to see a few of the downstairs rooms.... More

A very interesting visit to this historical house, with a very knowledgeable guide, and a visit to the beautiful gardens and woods surrounding the property, featuring strange sculptures made on pieces of wood representing fairytales...

We had a lovey day out at Wells house. Sadly the fairy door activity didnt go to plan for the staff but they tried their best to keep the kids going and entertained. Alittle more thought and training around the event and it would be alot better. In saying that wouldnt knock the staff or Wells house. It is definitely... More

We live in Dublin but only heard about Wells House the other day! As it is half-term we thought it sounded like a good place to spend the day with our two grandsons (5 and 8). It was! We booked the Dinosaur workshop and the boys enjoyed that and an indoor ball game before we explored the animal farm (small)... More

Our family of four including two small girls visited for the first time today. We had a great day exploring the walks jotted with fairy doors, built a bear, visited the craft shops and had a late light lunch in the cafe. Staff were lovely and it was easy to get around.

Brought the grandchildren from London - the forest walk was terrific and they had a ball. Then on to the craft shops and spent an amazing hour designing jewellery - on to cafe for coffee and cakes. Overall a very enjoyable experience
