Sadly it was shut on the day we visited so be aware that out of summer season you may struggle to get inside some of these battery's. That said wonder around like we did. It gives a sense of the huge amount of construction that took place during 1940-1945 when Jersey was occupied

The battery was not open however we went on a tour of the island with Waverley tours and stopped here for a visit. You can see this battery that the Germans extended during the 2nd world war and its a piece of history that still stands. Just great to see and use your imagination by standing on this building that... More

Amazingly restored extensive German fortifications with guns and bunkers. A huge contrast with the gorse covered commons, cliffs, sandy beaches and great views along the coast of this headland.

Well wortt the visit, only £3.00 per person, children free. Views are stunning, so much history. Information all around and 10 min video again full of information. The guys that are there have so much knowledge to share and enthusiastic about it. Books and guides for sale. On a clear sunny day you must be able to see for miles.

I'd highly recommend visiting Battery Lothringen. It's well looked after by the Occupation Society. I'd suggest to anyone who'd like to visit any of the bunkers, contact The Occupation Society that manage the site, as the sites are not always open. Contact details are available by googling: channel islands occupation society jersey, there you'll be able to find out when... More

Worth a visit as the views are amazing and it is built on a really good spot to defend the island. Cold and windy day when we were there - but amazing skies.

A local society has tried to make these batteries a little more visitor friendly and their volunteers are very helpful and knowledgable. As the area is run on a donation only basis not a lot of money has been spent on the commercial side of this attraction but it is nonetheless well worth a visit. It was part of the... More

Always try and see as many bunkers that are open when we are in Jersey as there's sometimes new parts open and new things to discover. Become a member of the CIOS if you visit regularly and you will get newsletters and free entry to the bunkers.

Worth the visit if you are interested in WW2 history. Only problem was you cannot get to see the insides of it except on rare occasions. Views are stupendous from here you realise why the Germans built these installations on this spot.

Anyone traveling to Jersey with an interest in the 2nd world war , will need to see this . you are able to get a picture of the fantastically elaborate fortifications built by the Germans during the occupation, some of which are maintained & open to view with the help of guides. Essential place to see.
