About
In 2018 we are open from 1st May to 30th September, 10am to 5pm, Tuesdays to Sundays - we are closed on Mondays for maintenance, even if the Monday is a bank holiday. From early June to mid August we have our harvesting season when we look the best with the lavender in bloom, and we gather the harvest in. During this time we STRONGLY encourage you to attend one of the talks in the distillery at either 11:30am or 3:00pm. They are fun, informative and well worth it. Outside the harvesting season, the distillery isn't working but there is a 5 min video presentation that explains the processes on the farm through the year, and plenty to read and our different lavender oils to smell (and the entrance charge is lower). There is a "Discovery Trail" for kids and adults alike, chickens to feed and we also have our Sprigs Cafe and Shop. Plenty of homemade food in the first and a good range of gifts and, of course, the lavender products made on the farm.

We arrived on a Monday and unfortunately the lavender fields were closed. The lady in the gift shop was kind enough to let us have a look around the grounds though.

If you’re expecting Provence, think again. The lavender fields here are unfortunately far less substantial. Perhaps we’re too late in the season but there was only a smattering left.

The grounds are lovely and I’m sure if we had been able to get an audio guide we would have been able to find out a bit more about it. As it stands we couldn’t so we really just had a walk around the grounds and took some lovely pictures. It was a very nice morning overall though.

Very disappointed. Large car park with a rather untidy field of lavender. The other two fields that you can view through the immaculate garden are the same.

Forget the entrance fee. Enjoy the shop, which has some lovely gifts and stop for a scone and drink. Scones are large and tasty. You can sit on a veranda overlooking the garden.

I can recommend this as a place to go before heading for the airport.

The lavender fields are in bloom at the moment- the fields aren't full ( we wondered if they were growing fewer plants because of covid affecting sales) but there are a couple of fields that are full of bees and butterflies and the smell is just heavenly. There are also gardens, picnic spots and a couple of tree swings. A great place for a final stretch of your legs before travelling.

The free audio guide is interesting and there are videos of the distillation process in the barn. The cafe does great cakes ( also soup and sandwiches). There are free range chicken s everywhere and we saw a red squirrel as we left.
I just realised we missed the guinea pigs....!

I was so chilled out from the lavender in the air that the busy airport had no effect and I was still feeling calm when we arrived back at Newcastle. Result!

According to Jersey Lavender's website, "There are daily talks in the distillery at 1130am and 3pm. These fun, fascinating talks cover what we do at the farm, and usually involve smelling our renowned oils."

Having read this, we planned our morning around the 1130 talk. Arriving on time after a walk from St Aubin and expecting "fun and fascination", we were curtly told by the woman in the shop: "We don't do talks or anything like that."

There was at least a lavender field beside the car park which we viewed free of charge and went on our way.

Disappointing. Not good value for money. Not much lavender, all rather untidy. Sales assistant rather curt. Shop was well stocked with lavender products.

Visited the farm whilst the Lavender was in full bloom and the weather was gorgeous. what a great couple of hours we had wandering the paths which we shared with the chickens. Loved the shop. Café was good, good selection of cakes which went down very well with a cup of lavender tea and honey. We will definitely return when we are back on Jersey.

Admission charges are steep for what in effect is access to a back garden & lavender field.
Scones in the cafe are gorgeous but we felt it a shame that rather than sourcing local Jersey cream they are served with standard mass produced Rodda’s clotted cream & a jar of honey!
Worth a visit for the lavender products in the shop which you can access for free

Came on a quiet day where we had place mostly to ourselves. Interesting audio tour, shame distillery not operating on the day. Cafe was lovely, gorgeous cake and scones (and super value), very cute guinea pigs too!! AND we had lovely spending spree in shop too, and must mention how much my daughter loved the swing too. A lovely chilled morning.

The cafe is good, the gift shop is good the lavender fields are a disappointment, just a couple of fields with rows of lavender all the same variety. No variety of plants and no decent plants to buy, just a few very small pots

Closed when we arrived but the owner spotter our car and hurried over to invite us to explore the farm at our leisure. Which we did and enjoyed!
