Gorgeous beach, unique sea tractor taking you to burgh island when the tide is high. Very safe bathing area for children. Quiet and unspoiled.

Really nice and sandy beach. Felt very safe letting my Son in the sea as there were plenty of Lifeguards there. When tide out you can walk across to Burgh Island and have a drink in the Pilchard Inn. When tide in there is a...More

Nice clean beach with some sheltered spots if it's windy. RNLI on duty so it's safe to paddle. You can walk out to the island at low tide and there are some great views from the top.

Get here early for a space in the car park. Check tide times - watch it recede and reveal the causeway to Burgh Island. Plenty of sand at low tide.

Yes- out of season. Memory says September through to May. There will be signs. A close beach that is dog friendly all year round is Thurlestone. Check it out. No hotel on an island but a great local beach.
