Delightful walk from Brixham and along the SW Coastal Path. Spectacular views out to sea, with lovely countryside enhanced with many wild flowers. The Guardhouse Cafe is a great coffee/lunch stop with attentive staff and delicious food. Agree with previous contributor that unleashed dogs are a nuisance.

Walked up from Brixham and from start to finish the beauty and views are stunning. Spent s couple of hours there. Was dismayed though to see so many dogs off their leads and running free well ahead of their owners. One family we saw was quite concerned as a Alsatian was running towards their small child. It didn't do my... More

Although Berry Head is a lovely ,peaceful country park away from the busy delights of Brixham, for me it was the cafe that was the stand-out memory! My family group visited the cafe for lunch - and it was extremely busy, but in equal measure so efficient that this was no problem for us. You can sit inside or out... More

Excellent views up and down the coast from this location. There is also a great cafe in the Gate House where the friendly staff will ply you with great tasting coffee and food. My fellow travellers say the info centre/exhibits next to the cafe is also well worth a visit. Tip: To do justice to your visit you will need... More

Just go and sit on the seats which look out over the sea from Berry Head and watch the fishing boats coming back to Brixham of a summer evening. Magic! One point - the cliffs at the Head are near-vertical and fall straight from a well-cut grassy area. There are no rails or warning notices - take care with small... More

Well worth a visit. Easy paths and walking, plenty to see historically, good visitors centre with interesting details of Berry Head history. The extended cafe/ bistro/ restaurant offers good food at a good price. Don't forget to visit the South Fort on way back to car park, (if by car, if not, Coast Path passes by) this easily missed and... More
