We were so lucky to find this place after trying to get our Motorhome down the little narrow roads we eventually found this tranquil reservoir. We had a lovely walk round the trail and saw the stone circles and the Dartmoor ponies. As the darkness...More

My wife and I visited Fernworthy at the end of August , it a fantastic dog walking location. Very peaceful but very isolated , the roads leading to and from are very narrow, so if you are in an SUV watch out! The only criticism...More

The good stuff We go there often. It's a stunning place in fine weather and a challenge if it's bad. You can walk the whole way around on good paths and duckboards over the boggy part. There are benches and picnic tables, a couple of...More

The views of the Reservoir were breathtaking with dragon flies swooping around the waters edge. My sister and I walked completely around the Reservoir passing the dam which is such a feat of engineering.

An ineresting stretch of water. Can be a little bleak if the weather is overcast but there again its wild Dartmoor.mPeacemand tranquility then it might be for you..

Yes, a varied and enjoyable series of walks alongside Fernworthy reservoir(supplies Torquay!) and through the surrounding forest. However there is a unique feature just beyond the forest (Ref: 639 831 approx.) with the Grey Wethers, two stone circle side by side. It is probably worth...More

Have visited and walked here in all seasons and it is always an enjoyable experience. Reasonably easy to follow route around the reservoir, not overly strenuous but there are a few bits that are up and own and it can be muddy. Car park at...More
