I walk my dogs here most days and its great in the rain and the sun: in the rain you get shelter from the rain by the trees and they also shade you from the sun. The woods run alongside the River Erme and lots...More

Long timber woods is an hidden gem in Ivybridge. It's a lovely woodland walk beside the river Erme and leads all the way to Harford approx 5 miles. Good for walkers, children and dogs.

Lovely local woods with the river Erne meandering through, trickling under the viaduct, even has Brunels original bridge support columns standing next to the newer bridge. I have bad mobility issues and although a short gradient to navigate by the viaduct it's fairly flat and...More

Longtimber woods is right at the end of the village of Ivybridge,if you walk through the town, and follow the river and under the large bridge. As it is mostly wet ground and uneven, wear comfortable waterproof footwear. Beautiful scenery in all seasons, past remains of old buildings...More

A very pleasant walk in the woods. Quiet and an interesting view of the railway viaduct as well as the Erme.

Beautiful park. Took a look at some reviews but wasn't expecting it to be this picturesque. Many relaxing waterfalls and fresh air. 5/5.

Walking at any time of the year is a treat especially as I did last week when the leaves are just opening and right green. The River Erme is full of hidden secretes which need to be explored usually with a picnic.
