The font in St Petroc's is Norman. It has stairs to a former rood loft and a squint, which gives a view of the sanctuary from the nave. There are some beautifully carved pew ends. The church is exceptional for such a small village and...More

We visited the church after Lydford Gorge. This is a lovely little church which is obviously well looked after. There were a lot of fresh flower displays in the church - which showed how well loved this church is. Glad we visited!

Small and quaint. The locally made coconut & cherry cake that was on sale inside was really scrummy.

Lovely little country church with its typical graveyard. Nothing special, honestly, but if you pass not too far, it diserves few moments of respectful admiration. A plunge in the past.

We visited this church mainly because we were passing it and decided to stop.. It is a typical, simple church with a few interesting features. The setting, next to the castle is quite attractive but there is not sufficient here to warrant a special journey...More

This is a very picturesque church. The first thing you notice are the interesting slate gravestones which are either remarkably well preserved or have been renovated. The church itself is small and part dates from 997 with the rest around 1260. It has a Saxon...More
