We booked on the Grand Tour following a leaflet left in our holiday cottage. We rang ahead and found our planned date was fully booked but there was space the following day, which also worked for us. We were greeted upon arrival and given a...More

Hilary give us the tour, she was knowledgeable, funny and clearly has a great passion for the winemaking business. A really great way to spend a few hours, learning about how she & her husband Richard started their English vinery and wine making business. A...More

We agree entirely with what other reviewers have said: excellent. We used this as an introduction before visiting several more wineries in Devon and Cornwall - Sharpham, Knightor, etc - during our week in the West Country.

A lovely spot at Northlew - banks full of primrose and daffodils was the welcoming start to an excellent visit. A very informative and entertaining talk by one of the owners - Richard Waller - during a tutored tasting of rose and sparkling wines followed...More

Out of season on a cold wet December day, and I was the only visitor. No tours (would you want one on such a day?) but I was treated to a knowledgable discussion on their wines, and some insights into running an English vineyard. Descriptions...More

A bit difficult to get to, especially if it's in Autumn/Winter time, due to the very narrow and single-track country roads. But when you arrive, you'll find a knowledgeable and helpful viniculturist (wine grower / producer) who seems like a member of the family, rather...More
