Four of us and a baby walked the first section from Okehampton Station to the viaduct. It was a grey and drizzly day so we didn't really get great views but what we saw was lovely. Views of the moor to one side and fields...More

We parked just off the A386 at the edge of the moor and then cycled the route from there. The section down to Lydford is prettiest, especially the old viaduct. But going the other way we stopped for tea at the Okehampton Station Buffet.

You can make the walk/cycle ride as long or short as you please, mainly on the level. Some interesting views as well as some industrial history to see. Worth deviating off to the dam.
