I'm loathe to criticise the efforts of volunteers but it's stretching the imagination to call these "botanical gardens". At least it's free. Clearly much neglected there's only the start of a refurbishment programme, certainly it's not worth the walk up nor the expense of paying...More

Worth the effort of climbing up to gardens, especially for the view. But beware of steps with uneven surfaces that made walking with a recovering broken ankle difficult!

A beautiful walk, breath taking views, disabled access. The fact that it is free is fantastic, which encourages people to make a donation and attend again. Very well kept.
