Wide open spaces

A great beach, both long and wide. Popular with surfers it's big enough to accommodate all users on the extensive sands.

Woolacombe is our favourite place in Devon to go to the beach, fun family time, couple time, walking along the beach in the winter with the dog, spring days catching sun on a relatively empty beach, beach fun in the sun in the summer with the grandchildren, autumn day reminders of the summer playing and walking on the sand. Stunning... More

Great place for long walks, surfing, sandcastle building, sporting events and dog walking (out of season) beautiful in the sun and rain.

We love it here. We come here a lot especially in the winter. People are so friendly. It is very dog friendly. Great cafes and ice cream Would recommend.

A lovely sandy beach with rock pools for the children to explore. The children loved exploring, definitely worth taking the buckets and spades. We stopped off here whilst visiting the area even though it is out of season there were still a few little shops and cafes open.

Visited in February when it was rather cold and pretty much had the whole, vast beach to ourselves. Absolutely stunning though, even in winter.

Another lovely North Devon Beach. This beach isn't dog friendly. Parking is expensive especially during the summer time.

This beach has been part of my life from a small child on family holidays to present day. Miles of clean sandy beach with areas zoned for dog owners. The main car park to the beach can seem pricey but if there all day it's location next to the beach makes it worth it. There are facilities for drinks, food... More
