A small museum with a range of specialist exhibitions. The enthusiastic volunteer staff are very knowledgeable on local history. The museum features a number of small exhibitions on a variety of interesting local historical issues.

Good to see this museum with history of Bridport and lots of information about the geology of the region with fossil displays and other interactive displays. Nicely laid out and fully accessible.

Disappointed with the rest of Bridport as it's mostly charity shops. This museum on the other hand was brilliant and worth a visit

Thank you so much Sam for your lovely review. May I ask the date of your visit so I may give the feedback to our lovely volunteers?

Great little museum with history of the area from dinosaurs through Romans to recent history of rope and netmaking with some wonderful old photos of these industries. Free to enter and staffed by knowledgeable local volunteers.. Definitely worth a couple of hours of your time.

I'm afraid we only allowed assistance dogs inside the Museum. However, well-behaved dogs are always welcome to rest inside our porch!
