Sladers Yard is one of the most ambitious art galleries in the South West, showing contemporary British art, handmade furniture and designer craft. Housed in an historic Georgian rope warehouse, with pillared galleries and flower-filled courtyard, it is five minutes walk from the beach and harbour in West Bay, Dorset. Sladers Yard has an acclaimed cafe which is open every day serving coffees, lunches and teas. It has its own Tripadvisor entry under Sladers Yard Cafe. Please review the cafe there! Many thanks.

Went along to take a look at the gallery. Lots of lovely crafted pieces. Some were extremely expensive, out of the reach of most pockets, but beautiful. Food choice was good whether it just be cake and coffee, snack or meal.More

Thank you for your review tess382017. So glad that you liked the menu in the Café and the art we show in the gallery. It is true that really dedicated artists need to charge for their work. Glad you enjoyed seeing it and maybe one...More

Great place for coffee and very good cakes. Otherwise the food is overpriced with small portions. If you want to pay higher than London prices for small portions eat here. Not as bad as soulshine for this but still a shame as this place could...More

No-one has ever accused Sladers Yard Cafe of having small portions before! In fact many people ask for bags to take food home because the portions are so generous. All the food is made from scratch using carefully sourced ingredients and the prices are considerably...More

I am very sorry the enamel on the pendant you bought turned out to be faulty. Jocelyn Pardoe is a gifted and outstanding craftsperson. On the very rare occasions where there is any kind of problem with her work she fixes it or we refund...More

I thought it was "Slaters Yard" but once corrected it is easy to find immediately off the long-term car park (a bargain - £2 all day!). The lovely old building hides some amazing Big City Art ( Philip Sutton RA when we visited) and the...More

There are times when criticism is fair enough and I am first to accept and try to learn from it. Your review however does not fall into that bracket. We are open until 4pm as advertised and we were open that day. Lunch is served...More
