Description:

If you would like to know how the castle would have looked before...

If you would like to know how the castle would have looked before destruction by Cromwell in 1646, a visit to the model village shows Corfe Castle and the village in 1/20th scale. Set in beautiful Purbeck surroundings, also with giant games, enchanted fairy garden, working stocks and pillories and croquet. There is on site the Courtyard Tea Room for good quality reasonably priced snacks with a wide range of gluten free options.

Enjoyed our visit the model village last week and the friendly staff. Special mention to the cafe who provided two hungry vegans with a really nice all day breakfast. It was really nice so thanks to all we will come back more for more next time we visit.😎

I was so glad that we visited at the start of the holiday, as the ticket was valid for a week and we visited twice more. It's fairly small, but kept my daughter amused for at least an hour for each visit. She particularly loved the fairy garden. It also has the model village (obviously), a wildlife garden and lawn... The lovely model village is not huge, but it is pretty and well kept. People who work there are very friendly! The cafe and shop looked lovely, although we didn't use them. Reasonably priced and the ticket is valid for a week (I think they said)

The tea shop was wonderful with great staff who were very welcoming of well behaved dogs. We were able to park our bikes safely and the tables were both sunny or shady (our preference). The cream teas were generous and good value and the gluten free scones were delightful.

The model village is an excellent replica of the real thing and set in a very nice and peaceful garden. There is a lawn on which to play croquet and other interests for toddlers and children including a fairy garden. A very good restaurant adjoins the model village which has seating in a very pleasant courtyard as well as indoors... More

My children and I enjoyed tea and delicious cakes at the cafe before heading into the gardens for games and a stroll round the model village. My children are 12 and the games always amuse us, the village is a delight and the fairy garden is a treat. We will make it a regular afternoon's entertainment.

Visited here, great we could take the dog in, was lovely and quaint. Garden Games and Gardens to walk around aswell. All reasonably priced aswell. Just a shame that when we left the lady was showing others a discount voucher to save £1 on each visit which we didn't even get a look in on. Was the same staff member... More

Whilst approaching the cafe a lady was just leaving and told us it was excellent, so we took her word for it and she was right. We were a group of 8 and we were immediately welcomed with a smile, a table was rearranged to seat us and we were served a really delicious lunch very promptly. The staff were... More

My sister had breakfast here twice while on holiday in Corfe Castle. I had egg on toast both times and my sister had a full English once and egg on toast once. Food was very good as was the coffee and orange juice. Free wifi available.
