We love the Rex, every time we are in the area we always pay a visit irrespective of what is showing.
Lovely friendly staff and it has to be unique in that the local advertisements are brilliant and a pre-film treat!

New cinemas certainly have their place, but the originality of the Rex is something quite different. The vibrant colours, only one screen, the cafe downstairs, the old gas lamps and horsehair seats make this a unique experience as is finding your own seat.

A beautifully maintained old time cinema, but keeping up with latest films and good picture quality. This is definitely an experience coming here. The staff are friendly and care about the place, and the snack booth has a range of nibbles.

We are showing Hacksaw Ridge until 16 February and then there is a matinee of La La Land on Friday, 17 Feb. We then close for the Rex Players show, reopening on Sunday 26 February with Jackie.
