Julien Poix opened La Petite Epicerie " The Little Deli " in 2009 located in the little town of Anstruther (near the Bakers by the harbour). From the start, Julien and his team have always pride themselves on sourcing tasty and quality products from Fife’s local larder (Cheese, Oatcakes, Chutneys, Condiments and many more) as well as Continental delicacies, Cheeses, Oils, Charcuterie, Olives and French Specialities.Their passion and enthusiasm for food over the years has earned them 2 “Commended” Award in the Deli Of The Year competition and more recently, a “Great Taste 2013” Gold Star award for the quality of their Beef Steak Pies.

Anstruther has more than a fair share of places that showcase good food, but La Petite Epicerie is ever slightly ahead in the varieties of cheese that are available. Very friendly service and they have found their place in the community. Good, if you're looking to give a gift of food; and for stocking up touches of luxury.

This is an excellent local deli and worth seeking out if you are in Anstruther. It carries a good selection of meats and cheeses and other deli items. The owner makes a number of chutneys and ready meals that can be purchased for home consumption. The ready meals are excellent and give you home cooked, tasty food that is far... More

Julien, the owner, keeps an extraordinary selection of mouth-watering produce - the cheese selection, both Scottish and French, is particularly good. His own quiches and steak pies are also on sale - his good training shows in the finished product. . He also caters for events and has ever helpful advice as to what would be suitable either for a... Whilst on our yearly yacht holiday, my husband and I visited this place to get a few bits and pieces for a little bit of lunch!!! We did buy a few bits but were put off that it was a little overpriced!!! £4 for a jar of stuffed olives or £10 for three!!! Tasty stuff but not an everyday splurge!!!... More

Visited here while on a day visit to Anstruther, lovely interesting deli products with the owner on hand to talk through what you would like. Need to return as I hear they have introduced another range of products to the shop. Don't miss a visit here.

We've shopped at the deli a few times now. When I was working in Anstruther I often used to pop in and make the most of his meal deals... a beautiful baguette, crisps and a drink for a great value for money price. These days we sometimes pop in for the cheese, olives or some of his amazing home made... More

Went to Anstruther last week-end for a little break. Walking along the harbour and discovered a lovely little delicatessen on the side street from the baker. "La Petite Epicerie" just the name on its own sounded already interesting, this shop is full of lovely foods, cheeses, stuffed olives, oatcakes, antipasti and so much more i simply can't mention it all....
