A fresh morning start along the shores of Niarbyl Bay on the Western side of the Isle of Man. A real dreamy gem on the island with picturesque scenery of the coast and Irish Sea, there is also a walk along the coast that heads south and a little stone pebble beach, complete with a sea cave and a lovely old thatched cottage on the shoreline. Great place to visit and then you can follow it up and get tea and scones or cakes and coffee, or some lunch at the Niarbyl Cafe.

Such a beautiful stretch of coastline on the west coast of the Isle of Man. Great spot for a walk and photos!

Yes I would live here if I could, it's the place one spends a lifetime looking for.
It is so beautiful and peaceful that makes it truly magical.
I cant wait to return.
I met a lady from the USA who told me that the only reason she came was after she watched Waking Ned and loved the thatched cottage and needed to come and see it for herself.
Also here is a fault line where two continents meet.
There is a Bletchley connection too.
If you feel peckish there is a cafe.
Bus that dropped us at this point returned after two hours.

The area is scenic. Fabulous views, white cottages and a short walk to a white pebble beach. It is hilly and steep in places and a narrow path so not suitable for everyone.

Do take the plunge and go down the hill past the cafe to the car park. Here you will be treated to abundant bird life, beautiful scenery and some fascinating geology. We were there out of season but this was our favourite spot on the Isle of Man. Unspoilt beauty.

A lovely place to sit and watch the sea. Basking sharks had been seen earlier in the afternoon - take binoculars with you for a good view . The white beach is a 15 minute walk along the coast . Sandy and pebble beach really peaceful although path narrow in places. Cafe at Niarbyl we didn't go in but looked fine. Good amount of parking in car park although it could get busy on sunny days.

Possibly the best views in the whole of the UK, certainly one of the most stunning on the Island. Even when the weather is a bit muggy, its beautiful. Wee little cafe nearby serves ok food and if you're lucky you can catch the local lobster fisherman bring his haul ashore.
One not to be missed. Especially when the weather is good.

We came here on a very wet October morning not expecting to be able to see much but luckily, it cleared up as soon as we arrived and it turned into a very nice afternoon. With this, we were able to see the spectacular views from the area, including over to the Calf of Man. The old cottages down by the beach are very nice and secluded but I bet they get battered by storms come wintertime. I'm not a geologist but seeing the Iapetus Suture (ancient fault line) was also quite fun. I couldn't actually get over to it though due to the amount of seaweed that had collected in that area.
Unfortunately, we didn't see much marine wildlife but did see quite a few birds around (Not being a birdman, I can't remember what types!).
As another reviewer has said, there isn't much of a visitor centre there but what is there is perfect. The signs on the green outside explain perfectly what was at the place and what wildlife there is to see. Nothing else is needed here.
The cafe here is lovely and does amazing Hot Chocolates, perfect for the cold day we had! The scones in here are huge and lovely, brilliant to go with the Hot Chocolate and as a mid-afternoon snack.
Overall, this place is worth a visit if you enjoy nice scenery and definitely if you are an avid nature-spotter
