We enjoyed browsing the interesting collections of local and not quite so local items for sale. The staff members we met had good knowledge of the stock, the shop and the area. It was a pleasure to talk to them.

It isnt "just a shop". We had a great talk with the highlander who was in charge of the store. He kept us interested in the stories of the highlanders for quite a while.

First visit - and on the very day of its opening for the new season - was lovely. Interesting chat with the staff, who were both very friendly and welcoming. Will come back to enjoy the whole 'tour' the next time we pass through.

I would recommend the Clansman centre for a visit. Was there just over an hour and within the hour learned so much about the Clansman way of life. One of the highlights was seeing how kilt was warn. The time just flew by.

Took in a show here as part of a highlands tour and really enjoyed it. It was a one-man show showcasing kilts and weapons. I don't remember the gentleman's name but he was very funny, informative and engaging. I had no idea kilts were such...More

Nice selection of gifts in the shop. £8 for two adults to see the half hour film was a bit steep given what we got. Film was interesting in parts but there was too much imagery with little historical commentary. What did the 'woman folk'...More

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you didn't enjoy the film very much. As you can imagine it is difficult to cram all the history into 30 minutes and we therefore restricted it so some of the main parts, ie. the...More

Hi there. Thank you for your review. Glad you liked the shop. I assume you and your friend purchased from the Scottish Green Marble range. Lovely jewellery. Hope to see you again in the future.

Went here to round out my "friends & family" gift buying and was not disappointed. The selection was better than I would have thought for such a small town. Yes, it is "tourist tat" but that's what I was looking for. The gentleman at the...More

Thank you for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your visit to the Clansman Centre. Perhaps next time you could watch the film or maybe even the show.

This little shop of treasures was a joy to look around. The man behind the til was chatty and helpful, nothing was too much. The only downside is the fact that nobody is interested in coming to learn the heritage of this beautiful place so...More

My family has Scottish history. I am driving through in June on a weekday. We have only one day and would hate to miss the show. We are interested in learning about the clansman way of life. DO we need to purchase tickets ahead of time? Also, is the show offered at certain times? We will be visiting in the 4 pm range, thanks

Hi there. Thank you for your enquiry. What date in June are you going to be in the area? How many in your family? If there is no other show on the date you are coming, we could, subject to the presenter being available... More

Are the shows no longer on? I visited about 20 years ago now and have been telling my husband and daughter all about it as we are in the area next week and was hoping it was still open as the show was really interesting from what I remember. Is it just a shop now? Is there any way we can book to the see show?

I am so sorry not to have responded to you sooner. I was abroad and didn't pick up this until today. Did you pop into The Clansman Centre when you were there? Did you manage to get a show?
