Starts with well done video followed by 45 minute well explained tour of their distillery. Tasting follows. It offers a variety of selections. The guide was vary good! Cherry and knowledgeable. Bowmore sits right next to the town square but don't overlook it

I went to Islay with a friend to do some whiskey tastings and visit the distilleries. Bowmore is one of our favourite whiskys so visiting the distillery was a must for us. We had booked a basic tour before-hand (as it is recommended, there were...More

We arrived too late to take a tour, but the people in the tasting room set us up with a variety of scotches to taste. They came and checked on us as we tasted and discussed the scotches. The people were very helpful. The room...More

A real sense of authenticity here at Bowmore, just near the beach I really loved my visit here. The team were very welcoming and warm, the drams were so nice too!

Bowmore distillery is definitely worth the visit when on Islay. What makes this distillery unique is that they malt their own barley. Most of the distilleries nowadays buy the malted barley elsewhere. I did have some difficulties understanding our guide though due to his very...More

Tasting room upstairs above the shop is well worth visiting for the stunning view over the ocean and the great selection of the Bowmore whiskies. Kat was really friendly and helpful.

We did a "distillery tour" from Edinburgh, but it wasn't any of the Hebridean distilleries, it was just a loop of the highlands with a stop-off at Dewar's - not really what I was looking for, as I'm a single malt buff. The... More

Going from Bowmore to Edinburgh will take something between 6,5 and 7 h. It depends on the time table for the ferry, which changed yesterday.
