This was our second boat trip with Andi, we had been out to see the puffins in 2021. On returning to Skye we booked way in advance to do the Whales/wildlife trip. We had a fantastic time and had the perfect experience with multiple pods of dolphins and the seals. When we next return to Skye we would definitely do another trip. Thank you!

We booked a puffin trip for the very first day that this wee boat started its puffin trips again and it was a pleasure to be on the water, in the sunshine and and our guide - forgot his name - was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife. The boat left from Uig harbour and it's desirable to be present some 20 minutes before the boat will leave. On our way to the Askrib Islands we spotted the occasional cormorant and razorbill fly past and when we noticed land coming into our view we were handed out binoculars in order to be able to take a closer look at the seals (and there were Eider ducks! What a pleasant surprise, they are one of my favourite birds). We waved goodbye to the seals (and Eiders) and went on our way to the 'puffin island'. We spotted a sea eagle to our great excitement but its presence did scare the puffins away. Our guide took us to another spot where the puffins might had escaped to, to find safety but they weren't there. Back to the original 'puffin island' it was and we spotted a few of them sitting in front of their burrows and also zooming past us at great speed (good luck taking pictures of them in full flight). Apparently the previous party before us had been able to see around 60 puffins but we noticed a few. But, hey, this is nature, it's unpredictable and that's the way it should be. We spent at least 2 hours on the water, instead of the usual 90 minutes, and I believe that everyone on board appreciated our guide's efforts to find those bl**dy puffins. Tip 1: book in advance. Tip 2: If you can't physically make a big step in/off the boat on sometimes slippery algae covered steps in the harbour this trip may not be for you. However, your guide will do anything to accommodate you. We had a towel spread out over the algae for us - to prevent anyone from slipping into the water ungracefully. Do wear sensible footwear.Tip 3: dress warm, you can always take off a layer of clothes. Tip 4: enjoy yourself, it's a beautiful trip, whatever happens.

We had a great trip with Puffins and Whales. We saw common seals, grey seals, puffins, an array of sea birds and even a sea eagle. Andi is a good guide and gave us interesting detail on the seabirds we saw. He was scanning ahead with binoculars and pointing out wildlife, before getting close in the boat. He provided binoculars and a helpful laminated sheet explaining what birds and sea life to look out for.
The trip involved a boat ride out to the Ascrib Islands, where puffins nest. It is a great spot for watching wildlife.
Seeing a sea eagle in full flight was a wonderful experience.

We absolute loved our trip today! Andy was a fantastic guide. His boat is lovely, very safe and comfy. He’s a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide. As great as Andy and the boat are, the puffins were the real stars and we saw heaps. Had a great view from the boat, it was just delightful!

We visit Uig every year and had never done a boat tour, thanks to the fabulous weather this year we decided to book to go see the puffins and seals. We were not disappointed.
We had a fabulous sunny day and seen puffins and seals as well as some sights around the top of the island. Both Tom and Duncan were very friendly and knowledgeable. A great way to see parts of Skye you wouldn't normally see.

This fabulous little company is owned and run by one man! We booked the puffins and seals trip which lasts 90 mins during which time we learned loads about the area and as promised, saw lots of seals and puffins! Throw in a cuppa and a cookie included in the price and it was a lovely way to spend a few hours.

Definitely worth booking in advance as he's always busy!

We tried to book in advance by calling on thursday 18th but were not able to reach puffin and whales. As stated on the webiste we took a gamble and just showed up at the pier. Unfortunatelly we found out the boot was booked full for the next seral days and that there was no space for us. So our advice book in advance!

Took a boat tour on July 31st - saw common and gray seals, sea eagles, porpoises, minke whales, and of course puffins! Not to mention the gorgeous scenery. Didn't get bored during the almost 4 hour trip, and the guide was great.

Start at Uig Harbor which is quite nice and a big ferry loading pier. Your tour is on a small (large enough) power boat with an enclosed cabin up front and an open deck in the back. I believe this is a one-man company and the captain (owner) is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife and islands in the area. We took the Puffins and Seals tour and we did see both in the 90 minutes. We had coffee and cookies (included free) on the boat as well. All in all, this was a great trip and well worth the drive up to Uig. Go to their website for lots of information about the available tours.

We had fantastic weather and clear skies for our boat trip. There was lots of free parking near Uig Pier and the meeting point was easy to find. The skipper was really friendly and welcoming. As the sea was calm we were allowed to sit at the front of the boat for the whole trip which gave us amazing views. It got a little cold so do bring layers but we got a free cup of tea and a biscuit which was a welcome touch! We saw seals, cormorants, gulls and of course lots of puffins on the 90min trip. Would highly recommend!
