I went into the beautiful pottery shop while waiting for the ferry to take us to Tarbert on Harris. It was the only shop open at the ferry terminal and had the VisitScotland Good To Go sign in the window which immediately made me feel very safe upon entering, The owner had hand sanitizer at the door and the social distancing marks on the floor. I wish I had spent more time there as there were some lovely handmade pieces to buy in all sort of patterns and designs all made locally on the premises.

A quaint little pottery in Uig by the queue for the ferry and was a useful stop off for us as we toured Skye. There's a good selection and range of items and you can watch potters at work.
There is no other reason to stop at Uig!

Popped into this pottery shop to discover a variety of patterns in various shapes and sizes. Settled on a pair of pinch pot wine glasses in a beautiful teal colour. Staff were busy working on pottery while we shopped but were ready to answer any questions we had. Other non-pottery items were also available.

The Uig Pottery is right near the ferry terminal and easy to pop in to while waiting for your ferry. It is a small shop combined with a working production facility and an amazing view from the windows. The ceramics are all ok, though more ‘craft’ than anything especially refined. May or may not be your thing...!

Popped in here to have a look although I could tell it was going to be expensive.
The pottery was so nice but so pricey.
There are lots jewellery cabinets with some fabulous pieces which is all made in Uist but they come with a hefty price tag - mainly all Sterling Silver but the only 9ct yellow gold pieces are hundred of pounds !
I will go back just to admire and wish !

I was in this shop just before sailing to Harris in the early afternoon of September 22nd . The stamps I purchased in this shop turned out to be out of date second class stamps. My 87 yr old dad received a card to go to his local post office. He was then charged £1.10 to retrieve the postcard I had sent him. I imagine this has happened with the other cards I sent too. The woman on the till advised that she only had second class stamps which would have been fine if they had still been in circulation.

Visited while waiting on ferry to Lewis, so glad we did. Great variety of pottery and gifts on sale and able to watch them being hand finished on the premises. bought a couple of pieces at reasonable prices and good to see these local businesses open again.

Just a small shop in Uig. Pottery looks quite ordinary and unexciting. It is hand made but the designs looks very boring and ordinary compared to other pottery workshops in Skye. Very rude customer services. Would not visit again. I would recommend bypassing this shop.

It was good at last to actually find a local ‘co-operative’ pottery.
They have some lovely pieces - so we could not resist.

we were in uig on one of our stops around the island so we visited Uig pottery and was so impressed bought a few various items.
Staff friendly and informative. The workshop is in the centre of the shop and pots in all stages of production were visible.
Brought a few little nice bits tho some of the bigger bits was quite expensive. No hard sales push either from the staff, they let you look round in your own sweet time & browes or buy it's up to you.
Lovely place tho.
