I visited The Korean War Memorial near Beescraig country park today . I had no idea that 1100 British soldiers were killed in 3 years ...236 of them were Scottish ! The UK had 60000 troops in that conflict ,there were only 45000 in the Iraq war.
It is a beautiful setting and in immaculate condition . There is a large lay by for parking . There is a bigger car park but the gate was locked

Well worth the detour to this magical place. The trees next to the war memorial are laid out perfectly. There is Tina of nature here too. I enjoyed learning more about the Korean War. It’s a shame to see people die because if war.

This is a lovely place to visit for a quiet stroll. Very peaceful and serene - we were the only ones there on the day that we visited, despite it being a beautiful day, There were no traffic noises, all we could hear were the birds singing - lovely!

Easy to park the car at this memorial. A drive in the country with National Parks close by. Take a picnic and relax but remember to keep the place tidy.

Tucked away. Peaceful and in the middle of nowhere but lovely to see the place maintained and those fallen in war remembered. Not just those in WW1 and WW2 these are 1950 to 1953 fallen.

The Scottish Korean War Memorial is situated in a beautiful, peaceful spot out in the countryside of West Lothian. The Memorial has the names of those lost incribed on Plaques

A beautiful place of peace for remembrance but also for younger people to learn. I was moved by tributes by people from Korea itself. A hidden gem.
