Stopping in the cottage overlooking the beach this week. Shouldn't really be recommending it as everyone will want to..! Miles of golden beaches to discover and very peaceful. Beautiful place 👍🏻

Just returned from two nights here, a lovely campsite with fantastic views, clean and modern facilities with warm showers and wonderful owners. The beach was just as I remembered it and so peaceful and we had a robin who sat on my chair each morning...More

Stunning place to visit. After we climbed up over the sand dunes, the view was stunning. Both the beach and water was beautiful, definitely worth a visit.

We had been recommended to find this beach, thought it would be nice but didn't realise how beautiful it was. Quite takes your breath away.

Some other reviewers have said they had a problem locating this beach - I've no idea why !! There is a small car park and a large sign for the beach ! There are lots of wee paths you can take to the beach -...More

White sands + clear blue seas + island views + sun = a stunning place to see and enjoy, with hardly a soul around to invade the relative solitude and relaxation. Due to location and space, fame from the film Local Hero has not resulted...More

Wonderful beach where some of the film "Local Hero" was filmed. Sadly the local powers that be have made a bit of a mess of the signage and paths to it from the car park making it a long, difficult and somewhat confusing experience to...More

The sand is so white and has to be one of the most stunning Scottish beaches, home to Local Hero it is well worth a visit. Just breathtaking.

Even though it was high season we had the beach to ourselves. Just be careful not to get cut off by the incoming tide. Travelled in summer 2015 but the website doesn't allow us to choose this date.

Hello. The actual Campsite at Camusdarach doesn't have a Tripadvisor entry itself although there is a website. So I am just looking for any info on or experiences of the site at Camusdarach? We would like to go in our touring caravan this year. Thank you 🌻
