We enjoy house museums and this one was nice. Used the QR codes for each room which helped to understand what we were seeing.
Would have been nice to have a guided tour even if it was more expensive.

Interesting and beautiful old mansion. Staff are very knowledgeable and generous with their time. The place is professionally done. A visit here is certainly worth your time.

Terrible. No instructions. Closed and nothing to do. Sign wanted us to park with criminals at the juvenile center. Can only take a picture from dangerous sidewalk

Stunning late Victorian. Basically you walk around on your own (would that some of the rooms allowed a bit ore entry before being roped off - it varies - but I get it, sort of, lol). Docents on hand super friendly and if you engage they will tell you a lot more than just the brief introduction. If there's no one else there, you may get to see things like the basement, the dining room (currently closed for reno). You WILL get to go up into the tower (2 levels) - fantastic - this never happens these days! 16 foot ceilings on the first floor - imparts a ginormous sense of space. So happy this was saved, and the people here are very proud of their independent status. Two doors down from another Victorian which is open - but not until June. Would make a great 2-fer, but even just this house is a wonderful treat.

Mansion and history were interesting to see and hear. They are in the process of revealing the gorgeous original ceiling masterpiece of art that were covered in a 1960’s renovation of white painted ceilings and walls.

The home is beautiful and we loved that we could just walk around on our own after a brief talk about the history of the home. It was nice to also have wonderful women there to answer questions. Also, there were writeups about every room.

Lovely Victorian home. The in depth knowledge of the house and period from the associates made the experience more interesting!

I love to tour historic homes and this was a wonderful experience. The docents were informative and friendly, the furnishings were beautiful and we really enjoyed our time there, would recommend adults only as children likely would not enjoy and may be a risk to the delicate items.

This is a very enjoyable small treat. My wife and me have been to many historic houses. What makes this special is the recurrent exhibitions. During our visit the house was in mourning, with plenty of black clothing, mirrors covered and information about mores in the Victorian era.

I loved the vist to this mansion. We had visited the Slave/Haven home just prior - which was only a mile or two from here - so it was interested to go from there to here and the what a difference. Both were of course a complete opposite. The home has been restored the best I have seen and the history is amazing. I will have to read more on the history of this home. Took many many pictures and didn't catch any orb's - but I have read many have been spotted and felt there. This mansion would be great for a wedding. Would recommend this place to visit to anyone.

On their website their hours are closed Monday and Tuesday and open Tuesday - Sunday from Noon - 4 PM. The admission was $10 for adults. We called first to make sure since it was during the holiday season. There was no answer at first - but the lady was kind and did call us back. You can visit their website directly from Trip Advisor. Has alot of information
